This is a poem I wrote for my Daughter. She passed away at 6 months from a rare heart/lung disease. Her name was Courtney.
Lost Soul
Thoughts branching off to nowhere
Can't seem to get it right
Black sky falls upon us
Turning sunny days to night
Echos stir from deep inside
Waiting for the bells to chime
Rockets blast another dance
Storm brings out the sands of time
Can't forget the days of yore
Memories won't fade away
Children lie asleep at night
So sad she had to fade away
